How to setup XML-based chat

• Download the program and save it somewhere you can find it on your computer..
  • For Windows 2000/XP
  • For Windows 98/ME

• After download, double click on it. You will see the image below:

  

• Select your language, then click OK

• That brings up:

  

• Click Next

• Read the license agreement:

  

• Click I Agree. If you don't agree, then no chat for you. :)

• Next, select what you want to install.
  The Language Packs let you chat in Spanish / French / German / Portuguese / Chinese:

  

• Click Next.

• Configure installation location:

  

  1. Change destination folder to C:\Program Files\oasisoflove.
  2. Click Next.

• The image below is shown next:

  

  1. Type Oasisoflove as shown.
  2. Click Next.

• Click Install:

  

• When the installation is complete, the next image is shown:

  

• Click Finish.

• At this point, the chat program is installed on your computer. Next, you need to create a profile:

  

  1. Type Oasisoflove.com as shown in the image above.
  2. Click OK.

• You should now see the chat window:

  

• Next, click on Click here to begin.

• Now pay close attention to the next few steps. If you enter incorrect information, your chat will not work:

  

  1. Click I already have a jabber account that I would like to use.
  2. Under Server Host, type oasisoflove.com.
  3. Under Username, type your login name on oasisoflove.com. This is the screen name you chose when you signed up on this web site.
  4. Under Password, type your account password on oasisoflove.com.
  5. Make sure there is a checkmark in Save password.

• Still in the same window,
  1. click Advanced tab as shown below.

     

  2. Under Server Host, type oasisoflove.com.
  3. Put a checkmark in Manually specify the server name.
  4. Type oasisoflove.com.
  5. Under Security, put a checkmark in Use SSL encryption.
• Click Register.

• If you have entered all the info correctly, the window below should popup:

  

• Click OK.

Congratulations! You are now ready to chat with other oasisoflove members.

Your system tray should now have an icon as shown below:

When you have added some chat buddies, your chat interface should look like this:

Here is what you can do with the program you just installed:

• One-on-one chat (IM)
• Group chat
• Audio chat (microphone required)
• Video chat (webcam required)
