• XML-based chat. Requires a program to be installed on your computer. (includes group chat).

HTML-based chat has two components:

• Chat Monitor (Buddy list) - Checks for requests from people wanting to chat with you. If you close this window, people can no longer contact you for a live chat.
• Chat Interface - This is the actual chat window where messages are exchanged.
